Ashley McKarney has over 10 years of experience specializing in Human Resources, Leadership, Organizational Development and Business Management in a variety of industries including; non-profit, finance, retail and a publicly traded service organization. Throughout her career, Ashley has built comprehensive Human Resource functions, coached leaders, managed employee relations and worked with senior executives to increase engagement and strategize organizational growth. Ashley is a CPHR Candidate and holds her Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a Major in Entrepreneurship and Small Business and Minors in Human Resources and Strategic Management and Organization.
Ashley fell in love with DisruptHRYEG over the past 2 years working as a volunteer and is now ecstatic to be the Chief Disruptor leading the charge in Edmonton.
Ashley founded Involvi Consulting with the goal of working with engaged leaders and business owners to improve their HR practices, provide them with ongoing expert support and to support their employees to improve working conditions and organizational culture.
Ann-Marie is a driven HR professional known for her practical, people-centric solutions and expert guidance to business leaders. With over a decade of experience, she has cultivated a wide range of HR competencies, aiming for a holistic approach to tailor individualized plans that propel clients toward their business objectives.
Her passion for understanding People and Culture began with a BA in Anthropology. This academic foundation complements her practical insights from a Human Resource Management Certificate and CPHR designation. Ann-Marie also holds qualifications relating to workplace investigations, adult facilitation, and executive compensation. Currently working on her MBA, Ann-Marie is dedicated to continuous learning and enjoys finding new ways to bring value to her clients and Involvi alike.
Off-duty, Ann-Marie values family time with her husband and 3 boys and embraces her love for travel and adventure.
Teresa brings over 18 years of experience to Involvi Consulting. In addition to her HR Generalist competencies, she has a strong foundation in both people and project management as well as home furnishing and retail design. She is skilled at aligning high performing talent with business needs, while creating a culture of engagement. Teresa’s career has allowed her to work through a broad spectrum of scenarios; including the creation of HR strategies that support full cycle recruitment, total rewards programs, and employee performance. In addition to her creative, practical approach, she has a passion for coaching, creating learning and development programs, and promoting mental health initiatives.
Raised by a small business owner, Teresa understands that success requires resilience, as well as developing and cultivating the right relationships. She believes that creating an inclusive work environment for employees, is an essential part of establishing a strong brand.
Kendall is a driven HR Professional who loves interacting with people and providing them with the resources they need to be successful. By collaborating with business owners and leaders as a trusted business partner, Kendall contributes to her client’s overall success by aligning their HR functions, process and procedures, and culture with their strategic goals.
After building her foundational knowledge in HR Best Practices by completing her Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources Management at MacEwan, Kendall stepped into her first HR role and for the past few years has expanded her HR expertise to allow her to support her clients in optimizing their People Operations. As a complement to her HR knowledge and experience, Kendall is also a designated Payroll Leadership Professional through the National Payroll Institute and holds an Accredited Executive Compensation Professional Certificate. Always looking to broaden her personal and professional development, Kendall now looks forward to completing her CPHR designation.
Outside of work, Kendall enjoys camping and exploring the backcountry with her family and going for daily walks with her two dogs.
Monica is an outgoing problem solver, a strategist, and a great communicator all bundled together to create a passionate Human Resources professional. She thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, loves to be of service to her teammates, and is passionate about developing foundational processes that positively impact the bottom line.
Her 8 years of management experience in the hospitality industry saw her create organization-wide programs, elevate service standards, revitalize cultures, and enhance day-to-day operations. She is passionate about learning and development and is a skilled adult-learning facilitator. With Monica’s practical leadership experience alongside her education from MRU and NAIT, she is able to work closely with organizational leadership to effectively translate an executive vision into actionable steps that improve overall business performance and people operations.
Outside of the office, her dedication to learning is put to good use as an Instructional Assistant, and her love of teamwork and competitive spirit extends to slo-pitch, pool, and golf.
Teri Hovdestad is a dedicated, people-focused leader with experience in effective leadership, organizational development, employee engagement, and performance enhancement. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Technical Theatre Production and a Diploma in Human Resource Management, she combines her background in the arts with HR expertise, offering a unique and innovative perspective.
Recognized for a collaborative and communicative approach, Teri ensures ongoing support and adaptive solutions that seamlessly integrate HR best practices with creative strategies, emphasizing data-driven insights for organizational growth. She excels in inspiring and guiding others, empowering them to maximize their potential, foster inclusive workplaces, and achieve their goals.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Teri enjoys reading, painting, and playing the occasional video game with her husband.

From growing up on a farm in Northern Alberta to working in a wide range of industries in both labour intensive and management capacities has provided her with a thorough understanding of the hard work and dedication it takes to operate a business.
Breanne is equally as passionate about people, as she is business, currently pursuing a BA in Psychology to compliment her Human Resources Management Diploma. She understands the complexities of reciprocal relationship building and the impact it has on overall business and your bottom line. Through education and experience Breanne has developed a strong business acumen and knowledge of team/people dynamics. Combining these skillsets, Breanne takes a pragmatic and people centric approach to HR initiatives and solutions.
Debbie Bridge is an enthusiast and dedicated HR professional. Passionate about continuous learning, Debbie is a recent graduate from NAIT’s BBA program and is currently advancing her expertise by pursuing a professional facilitator certification. As a People and Culture Consultant with Involvi HR, Debbie specializes in learning and development, team building, and organizational culture, contributing valuable insights and strategies to organizations. Beyond the corporate realm, Debbie serves as a committed facilitator for PEP Society, a non profit organization offering support to families navigating the challenges of addiction. In her role of a self-inquiry coach, Debbie is dedicated to empowering individuals on their self-leadership journey. With a relentless pursuit of knowledge and a focus on lifelong learning, she brings a wealth of experience and a passion for personal development to every endeavour.
Brittany has a passion for people and working hard with both the employer and employee within an organization to enable companies a productive workforce. She loves to tailor her work with the understanding that each company has different needs and situations that arise, including the importance of what may work for one organization may not be a fit for the next. Human Resources is a diverse career which allows for Brittany to work in many areas within her role and provides for unique approaches for each client.
Originating from the suburbs of Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Brittany began her professional career to work as a Human Resources Manager and Safety Coordinator in the cattle and agriculture industry in Southern Alberta. Since joining Involvi Consulting in 2022, Brittany has had the opportunity to expand her knowledge in several industries as well as work alongside a supportive and collaborative team.
When Brittany is not working, she is tending to her garden, working on her golf game, or being active on the acreage she shares with her husband and daughter.
